A woman walking in Central Park was robbed by a man who demanded she perform a sex act.

CENTRAL PARK, NY — Police are searching for a man who attacked a woman in Central Park, stole her phone and attempted to sexually assault her, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
The 26-year-old victim was walking near West 106th Street and West Drive in the park Thursday around 3:45 p.m. when she was grabbed around the neck and thrown to the ground by an unknown man, police told Patch.
The man demanded money from the victim, police said. When the victim told her attacker that she had no money the man grabbed her phone, pulled down his pants and demanded that she perform a sex act on him, police said. The woman screamed, which prompted two passerbys to intervene, police told Patch. As the two people approached the attack the man fled the scene and escaped into the park, police said.
