2-Year-Old Drowns in Chappaqua Pond

The child was found unresponsive, New Castle Police said: report

CHAPPAQUA, NY — New Castle police report the death of a 2-year-old. He was pulled late Sunday afternoon from a pond on Whippoorwill Road, according to The Journal News.

A call came in at 5:41 p.m. reporting the boy missing, the paper said. He was found in the pond and taken to Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, where he was pronounced dead. Emergency responders including Chappaqua firefighters and members of the ambulance corps were on the scene.
