Over the past 20 years Eric has raised more than $2.6 million for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) through several high-profile endurance feats, including the New York City Marathon, the 135-mile Badwater Ultramarathon (widely considered one of the world’s toughest races for its extreme temperatures and elevation gain), and 200-mile races in New York’s Central Park. The MMRF is the largest nonprofit in the world solely focused on accelerating a cure for each and every myeloma patient. While Eric’s efforts were initially inspired by Anita, a close family friend who succumbed to myeloma in 2012, along the way he has grown close with many other patients and their loved ones, giving him a front-row seat to the progress the MMRF has helped make possible.

In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, proprietor of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish. Musical numbers include “Willkommen,” “Cabaret,” “Don't Tell Mama” and “Two Ladies.”
Know Before You Go: Cabaret explores mature themes that may not be suitable for younger audience members. This production is rated PG-13. All dates and times subject to change.

<a href="https://www.heathergaudiofineart.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">click here to view</a>Heather Gaudio Fine Art is pleased to present Ian McKeever: Going Forth, Painted Panels &amp; Other Works, the artist’s third solo exhibition at the gallery. The show will open with an artist reception on October 10, 4-6pm, and runs through December 5th.
Ian McKeever is an acclaimed British artist whose distinguished career is marked primarily as an abstract painter. He works serially, simultaneously developing several paintings that take several years to complete.Each series is characterized with its own identity, inspired by nature, art history or culturally historic works, and all share the artist’s preoccupation with light, transparency and the bodily presence. 
The two predominant series featured in the exhibition are the new Going Forth paintings and the continuing Painted Panels which the artist began in 2012.
Following his five-year engagement with the Henge Paintings, which were preoccupied with mass and volume, the color black predominantly featured and integral in depicting density, solidity and weight, McKeever felt compelled to return his inquiry into openness, transparency, and luminosity. In the Going Forth series, McKeever re-investigates translucid lyrical abstractions, this time presented in multi-paneled canvases in a mostly white palette. A singular richly saturated color, such as field green or deep navy blue, asserts structure and balance, and emphasizes transparency by appearing dusky beneath thinly veiled layers of white. McKeever applies translucid films of acrylic and oil in a manner that implies the luminosity of light, rather than pictorially depicting it. In this way, the artist renders a nebulous, ephemeral quality to the surface, a perceptual experience he has long articulated. For McKeever, the Going Forth paintings loosely suggest passages of time. “I am yesterday, today and tomorrow”, he states, in that when he paints, he is taking the present into the painting and then returns to it in the tomorrow. “You are encapsulating the creative process going forth into the future” when you paint the following day. The horizontal format of the painting suggests a narrative, a passageway, a continuation of time. 
The Painted Panels are an ongoing series of monochromatic black or white paintings the artist began in 2012.McKeever returns to canvases he has “abandoned” or set aside when he feels they have “lost their way.” He selects the sections he deems successful and mounts the fragments onto wooden panel, reinvestigating them minimally or extensively to a level of conclusion.The canvases take on a new life from the one originally intended resulting in beautiful, elegant paintings that contrast with the warmth of the wooden panels. They still evoke his preoccupation with luminosity inherent to painting. All panels are alike in size and work well together in a grouping and equally hold their own as a single, stand-alone tableau.McKeever first exhibited this body of work as an installation of 30 at the Kunst-Station Sankt Peter in Cologne in 2014. For the artist, this ‘recycling’ series allows him to pivot from the larger scaled work providing an alternative meditative, creative channel.
Other paintings on view, the Season Addendum and “one-off” canvases, as dubbed by McKeever, depict his signature visual abstract lexicon. These latter singular paintings act as turning points, interim periods which may become the genesis and develop into a new grouping as the creative juices flow in the artist’s studio.

Students will take this test online. &nbsp;The test is computer adaptive which means that each student will receive a unique test and that the difficulty level of the questions will vary between test sections.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Here is how it works:
<ul><li>Students using "Standard Timing"&nbsp;should plan for about 2.75 hours of testing time</li><li>Students with an "Extended Time Accommodation" can select their timing after clicking "start."&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>A calculator is allowed but the DESMOS calculator is also integrated into the testing site. </li><li>Scratch paper is allowed</li><li>Detailed scoring and gap-analysis reporting will be available in real time</li></ul>

Demystifying Medicare&nbsp;is perfect for anyone trying to navigate our complicated healthcare system for older adults. The workshop is for people who already have Medicare, as well as those soon to be 65, planning their retirement, or assisting relatives and friends with their medical decisions.
Demystifying Medicare is offered as part of the ongoing work of the Westchester Library System to provide authoritative, actionable information that supports seniors in being connected and well-informed. In this free, engaging session you will learn about the various parts of Medicare and the costs associated with medical and drug insurance provided by the government and private companies.
Topics include original Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, prescription drug plans (Part D), Medigaps (supplemental plans), and cost-saving programs like EPIC that can help seniors with limited resources.
Come and get a handle on this thorny subject in a user-friendly atmosphere.&nbsp; Although this is a shortened version of the normal workshop, there will be time for some lighthearted interactivity and questions (even after it ends officially at 2:30). Pre-registration requested at (914) 238-8888.
