A third suspect has been charged with Manslaughter 1st Degree in connection to the beating death of a homeless man in Mount Kisco, Public Safety Commissioner George N. Longworth announced tonight.

Mario Coronado-Depaz was arrested in the village at 6 p.m. He was booked at the county police precinct in Mount Kisco and is expected to be arraigned tonight in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

Coronado-Depaz, 39, Milton Ventura, 35, and Freddy Coronado-Mendez, 34, all of Mount Kisco, are accused of causing the death of Jose Sanchez, 53, during an altercation in a wooded area off Lieto Drive on Saturday. Sanchez’ body was discovered the following day by a relative who alerted police.

An autopsy conducted by the Westchester Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Sanchez died of injuries caused by blunt force trauma. Sanchez, a native of Honduras, worked as a landscaper and had no permanent address.

The first suspect who was charged, Coronado-Mendez, left the area by train and was tracked by Westchester County detectives to Harrison, N.J., where he was taken into custody on Monday. He is being held at the Hudson County Jail and is expected to appear before a judge on Monday for arraignment.
