TOWN OF NEW CASTLE, NY — A peeping Tom has been arrested after he repeatedly targeted a Westchester woman, cops say.
The New Castle Police Department says that 50-year-old Juan G. Guambana, of Ossining, was arrested on Thursday for six counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance.
Police say the arrest was the result of an investigation by New Castle detectives after reports of a man watching a woman through the bathroom window of her home on several occasions during the early morning hours.
On Thursday, detectives established surveillance around the home and saw the suspect, Guambana, actively looking through the bathroom window while the victim was inside.
Police say that Guambana was not known to the victim.
He was taken into custody at the scene, and arraigned in the Town of New Castle Justice Court on Thursday. Guambana was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear back in court on Nov. 5.
Town of New Castle police were assisted by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be charged. Detectives believe that Guambana was acting alone, and said there is no indication of any ongoing threat or danger to the public.
