APA of Westchester Endorses Senator Murphy

The Affiliated Police Associations backs State Senator Terrence Murphy for reelection.

When it comes to law enforcement, the Affiliated Police Associations of Westchester (APA) represents fifty-two PBAs on the local, county and state level. Due to its diversity and depth of membership, when it comes law enforcement issues it is among the most respected organizations in the Hudson Valley. The APA made a bold statement by endorsing State Senator Terrence Murphy for reelection.

First Vice Chairman Robert Buckley said, "Senator Murphy's opponent is supported by a radical PAC who believes accused criminals should remain free until their criminal case is complete. To accept the support of an organization that wants criminals to remain free until their case is complete is irresponsible and dangerous to the citizens of our great State and all police officers."

State Senator Terrence Murphy said, "I am honored to have the support of the APA and its fifty-two affiliates. I spent my first term in Albany working with law enforcement groups across the State in an effort to make our communities safe. In my next term I look forward to building on our successes especially in regards to the heroin epidemic."

Buckley continued, "Senator Murphy has a proven record of putting public safety as one of his top priorities and always focuses on how he can help police and other law enforcement agencies. He is always there when we need him and he keeps our members and the public safe."
