'Best 100 Middle Schools in New York' List Released

Niche.com has released rankings of public middle schools across the country—and Hudson Valley schools loom large on the list of the top 100 in New York.

Niche says it ranked 19,710 middle schools nationwide based on key student statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents. A high ranking, according to Niche, indicates that a school “is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students and faculty, and the students are very happy with their experiences.”

Oddity: As well as its middle school Pearl River’s high school is on the list—it includes eighth grade.
