When Chappaqua Crossing officials broke ground on the retail-and-residential development on the old Readers Digest property this week, they were joined by officials from Life Time Fitness, who are planning to introduce a new, intimate gym and spa experience there.
This will be a boutique club.
"The proposed site is positioned to be a sister club to our existing Westchester Life Time Athletic Club, approximately 11 miles southeast of the Chappaqua Crossing site," said Byan Smith, senior area director of Life Time. "These clubs will enhance each other with Chappaqua providing the more exclusive fitness and spa experience, while Westchester provides the added amenities of indoor/outdoor pools, raquet sports and a gymnasium."
