Burdick Edges Browde For Democratic Line In 93rd District
The two were top vote-getters among five candidates in the June 23 primary for the state assembly seat.

When the absentee ballots were counted this weekend, Bedford Supervisor Chris Burdick had achieved a winning plurality of votes among the five candidates running in the Democratic primary for New York Assembly District 93.
District 93 contains all of Interstate 684 in Westchester County and includes Bedford, Harrison, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, New Castle, North Castle, North Salem, Pound Ridge and White Plains. The current officeholder, David Buchwald, ran unsuccessfully in the Democratic primary in New York's Congressional District 17.
After thanking his staff, volunteers and donors on Facebook, Burdick wrote, "I would also like to congratulate my fellow candidates Kristen Browde, Jeremiah Frei-Pearson, Alex Roithmayr, and Mark Jaffe. This was a close race between five strong Democrats, all of whom want the best for our district. I promise I will not let you down."
