Candidates Sought for New Castle Democratic Committee
The New Castle Democratic Committee is interviewing candidates for the Nov. 2017 election for Town Supervisor and two Town Board seats.

From DDR Public Relations: The New Castle Democratic Committee is interviewing candidates for the November 2017 election for New Castle Town Supervisor and two Town Board seats. According to Nominations & Candidate Development Committee Chair Jane Silverman “we have identified several potential candidates with whom we are talking, but we always are looking for new people to get involved and bring new strengths to our Town government.” If anyone is interested, they should contact Ms. Silverman at silvermanjfs@gmail.com.
This year’s election will be held November 7, 2017. It will be an “off-year election” which coincides with Westchester County elections but does not coincide with any federal or state general election. Although the Board of Elections has not fixed the dates yet, petitions for Town Supervisor and Town Board candidates are expected to be circulated in June and July for filing with the County Board of Elections early in July, and if a primary is required, it probably will be held in September.
