Car Sideswiped; Stolen Bicycle; FD Entry Into Apartment

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the incidents to which Westchester County police responded in Mount Kisco in the past week.

Friday, June 21 – 12:54 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Armonk Road after a box truck clipped some power lines. The incident caused the power lines to sag, not fall. Con Edison was notified to respond to make repairs.

12:09 p.m. – A real estate agent reported that a sign she had placed in front of a commercial property in the vicinity of Barker Street and Valley View Terrace was vandalized overnight with spray paint.

Thursday, June 20 – 5:53 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a domestic dispute on Barker Street. Officers determined that the father-son dispute was verbal in nature only.

4:21 p.m. – A resident reported that the rear bumper of her car was damaged when another motorist sideswiped her car on North Bedford Road at Knowlton Road. The other vehicle, a tan Chevy Impala, fled the scene.

3:08 p.m. – A resident contacted Westchester County Police to report that a bicycle stolen from him recently was outside the Mount Kisco Public Library. Officers reviewed security video and detained a library patron who was seen arriving on the stolen bicycle. The bike owner, who had not reported the theft, declined to press charges but did leave with his bicycle.

4:06 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to North Moger Avenue on a report of a domestic dispute. A resident reported that her boyfriend damaged property during the dispute and left. An investigation is continuing.

Tuesday, June 18 – 11 p.m. – A resident of Gregory Avenue reported that it appeared someone had entered his apartment while he was out. It was determined that the fire department had made entry earlier in the night due to an activated fire alarm.
