Westchester Fire Wire reports an accident at the Valhalla station on the Harlem line of Metro North, and at least 12 people have been injured.
The extent of all the injuries is not immediately known, but numerous area fire departments and other emergency personnel have responded to the scene. The crash occurred at about 6:30 p.m.
Harlem Line service is delayed, according to Metro North.

New York State Department of Transportation also issued the following alert about the fire and investigation closing the Taconic:
N/S Taconic State Parkway-Road Closure-at 6:47PM-T/Mount Pleasant -Westchester Co. for approx. 4 hours due to an accident.
N/S Taconic State Parkway Between Lakeview Avenue & Stevens Ave.-Road Closure-at 6:47PM-T/Mount Pleasant -Westchester Co. for approx. 4 hours due to an accident.
DETOUR: NB Traffic is exiting at Lakeview Avenue
SB Traffic is exiting at Stevens Avenue.
