Chappaqua DAR Honor Area Veterans with Wreaths Across America

The Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR helped sponsor and lay wreaths on 210 veterans graves at the Bedford Union Cemetery

Bedford, NY - The Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR honored local veterans with Wreaths Across America by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heros on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Bedford Union Cemetery. Together with the Moses Taylor Jr. American Legion Post 136, 210 wreaths were sponsored and placed on the graves of every known veteran in the cemetery, with each veteran’s name read and honored aloud. Additional wreaths were placed on other known veterans graves in nearby cemeteries. To learn more about Wreaths Across America, visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.
