Chappaqua DAR Sends Holiday Cards to 135 Local Veterans

Members of Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR sent handwritten holiday greetings to every member of the Moses Taylor Jr. American Legion Post 136

(Chappaqua, NY) Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR spread holiday cheer to local veterans this holiday season, handwriting 135 holiday cards to each member of the Moses Taylor Jr. American Legion Post 136 of Mount Kisco, NY. American Legion members are veterans who have served federal active duty in the United States Armed Forces since December 7, 1941, and have been honorably discharged or are still serving.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support better education for our nation’s children. Its members descend from patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War.
