UPDATE: Greeley Drama Teacher on Leave Since June Resigns

An addendum to the Chappaqua Board of Education's Special Meeting agenda includes a vote on Christopher Schraufnagel's letter of resignation

UPDATE: The Chappaqua Board of Education has released an addendum to today’s meeting agenda:

BE IT RESOLVED that, the Board of Education hereby accepts the resignation of Christopher Schraufnagel, Teacher of Speech at Horace Greeley High School, effective September 4, 2015.

Schraufnagel was placed on paid leave in June during an investigation into his interaction with students. He had taught speech and theater for 12 years at Horace Greeley High School.

The Board of Education will convene a public meeting at 1 p.m. Sept. 4 and go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussion of the employment history of a particular person (teacher).

The public meeting will reconvene after the Executive Session.
