Chappaqua Sex Scandal: Ex-Teacher Takes New Plea Deal
Sexual and non-sexual conduct are among his admissions

CHAPPAQUA, NY — Two months after a judge rejected the first plea deal in the sex-abuse case involving Christopher Schraufnagel and several of his students, the former Horace Greeley High School teacher pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor charges in town court Monday.
The charges were one misdemeanor-level count of sexual abuse and two misdemeanor-level counts of endangering the welfare of a child, the Chappaqua Daily Voice reported. Under the terms of the deal, Schraufnagel would receive probation sentences, register as a sex offender and be subject to monitoring during his probation.
Schraufnagel admitted to having sexual contact with one student on the Greeley campus in 2011 and with another in the 2014-15 school year; and engaging in injurious non-sexual contact with a third student during the 2014-15 school year, Daily Voice reporter Tom Auchterlonie wrote.
