UPDATE: Chappaqua Shooting Suspect in Custody

The shooting at Lange's Deli Monday morning left two injured and a Tuckahoe man under arrest.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — A Tuckahoe man is in custody and two people are in the hospital after a Monday morning shooting at Lange's Deli in Chappaqua, according to New Castle officials.

Police were called to Lange's Deli on King Street at about 7 a.m. on a report of shots fired. They found two gunshot victims. Both were taken to Westchester Medical Center and are expected to survive, police said.

The suspect, Chao Hengjun, 49, apparently knew one of the victims.

New Castle Supervisor Rob Greenstein stated: "Residents should be assured that the Town's police officials are working diligently to investigate this morning's tragic shooting at Lange's Deli. Our Chief of Police, Charles Ferry, will provide additional information as it becomes available, and we will keep residents updated as we learn more about what happened."
