CHAPPAQUA, NY — A 'school' of 74 swimmers made waves against cancer by raising over $30,000 at the 11th Annual Swim Across America pool fundraiser at Chappaqua Swim & Tennis (CST) on July 17.

Since joining the SAA-Long Island Sound chapter swims, CST has raised over $500,000 for Swim Across America research and lab support services. Proceeds from the swim will support the Swim Across America research lab, Dr. Luis Diaz and the MSK Kids Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; pediatric oncology research at Morgan Stanley Columbia University Medical Center; and patient services with Cancer Support Team.

The CST fundraiser is one of eight Swim Across America Long Island Sound pool and open water swims taking place in Westchester this summer. The 30th annual open water swim will take place in Larchmont on Saturday, July 30, from 6 a.m. to noon.
