Check Fraud; Tenant Relations: Police Blotter Mount Kisco

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the recent incidents to which Westchester County Police responded in the village.

Friday, Aug. 11 – 3:21 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to the vicinity of the Mount Kisco
railroad station on a report that a man was slumped over on a park bench. The man told officers he had
been dozing and was not in need of any assistance.
11:36 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Mountain Road on a report that a
man was having difficulty breathing. Westchester EMS was already on scene and transported the man
to Northern Westchester Hospital.
7:14 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to West Street on a complaint about an illegally
parked vehicle. A summons was issued.

Thursday, Aug. 10 – 5:23 p.m. – A resident of Spring Street contacted Westchester County Police
because she said she was unfairly accused of stealing a fellow tenant’s mail. The woman said the other
tenant has been calling her repeatedly and she wants the calls to stop. An investigation is continuing.
4:28 p.m. – A resident of Stewart Place alleged that another resident of her building drove past her in a
parking lot at a high rate of speed and also cursed at her. The resident asked for a report to document
her concern and said she will pursue the issue with building management.
1:14 p.m. – Westchester County Police and the Mount Kisco Fire Department responded to Brookside
condominiums after a resident reported smelling smoke and hear a crackling noise coming from an
electrical outlet. Fire officials determined there was no fire in the wall and advised the woman to
contact an electrician.

Wednesday, Aug. 9 – 11:25 p.m. – A village resident reported that she was scammed out of $2,550 in a
check fraud scheme. The matter was turned over to detectives for continued investigation.

Tuesday, Aug. 8 – 11:58 p.m. – A resident reported to Westchester County Police that had observed a
man walking along Carpenter Avenue and pulling on car door handles to see if any vehicles were
unlocked. An officer canvassed the area with the witness but was unable to locate the suspect.
7:32 p.m. – An officer on patrol found a credit card in the Blackeby Place municipal lot. The card credit
company requested the card be destroyed and said it would notify the holder.
