MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the recent incidents to which Westchester County police responded in the village.
Friday, June 22 – 5:28 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Laurel Drive on a report of a tree down and blocking the road. The Mount Kisco Highway Department also responded to remove it.
3 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to North Moger Avenue on a noise complaint involving a car whose alarm was continually going off. An officer located the owner of the car who said she was aware of the problem and was making arrangements to take the vehicle to a mechanic. With the owner’s permission, the officer looked under the hood, identified the problem as a faulty sensor and removed it, restoring peace and quiet to the neighborhood.

10:11 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to the 100 block of East Main Street on a report that a man in a parked car had thrown an empty beer can into the street. An officer located the vehicle and spoke with the driver who denied the claim. There was no sign of a beer can in the roadway or any indication that the driver had been drinking.
1:17 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Spring Street on a noise compliant involving loud music and a gathering of people in a back yard. After speaking with officers, the group agreed to turn the music off and go inside.

Thursday, June 21 – 8:16 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Diplomat Towers on a report that a car had pulled into a parking space and two youths had jumped out and run away, leaving the doors open and engine running. Officers determined that the incident was a prank involving two teens who moved their friend’s car when he went inside the building.
2:53 p.m. -- Westchester County Police and the Mount Kisco Fire Department responded to the senior center on Carpenter Avenue on a report of smoke in the building. The smoke was caused by a piece of pottery that had been placed in a toaster oven.
12:40 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to East Main Street on a complaint of a man drinking beer outside a store. An officer issued a summons to the man for the open container violation.
Wednesday, June 20 – 11:58 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Oakwood Cemetery on Lexington Avenue on a report that a vehicle was inside. Officers located a subcontractor working on a cell tower that is at the rear of the property.
