Cops Find 'Lost' Car in Store Lot and More: Mount Kisco Police Blotter
people damaging other people's cars; drinking beer in the park; harassing calls and texts

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the incidents to which Westchester County police were called in town:
Saturday, Nov. 12 – 6:24 p.m. – A Sleepy Hollow resident called Westchester County Police to report that he could not find his car after shopping at Stop N Shop on North Bedford Road and feared it had been stolen. An officer who responded was able to locate the vehicle in the store’s lot.
7:48 a.m. – A resident of Grove Street reported to Westchester County Police that he saw a man pick up a rock and throw it at a car parked on the street, causing damage to the exterior. Officers were attempting to contact the owner of the car.

Friday, Nov. 11 –10:10 p.m. – A motorist driving past the Bet Torah synagogue on Smith Avenue called Westchester County Police to report that he saw a “suspicious vehicle” in the parking lot. The vehicle actually was a county police car conducting a check of the property.
5:30 p.m. – A 55-year- old woman was charged with Criminal Mischief 4 th Degree, a misdemeanor, after she allegedly stuck a passing car with a cane as she walked her dog on Carpenter Avenue. The cane strike chipped the paint on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

8:20 p.m. – Two residents of Moore Avenue reported to Westchester County Police that they have been receiving harassing phone calls and text messages from an acquaintance. Though they did not wish to press charges at this time, the pair asked for an officer to contact the third party to tell him to cease further contact. An officer reached the acquaintance and informed him that he could be subject to arrest for harassment if the unwanted calls and texts continued.
Thursday, Nov. 10 – 4:25 p.m. – Westchester County Police issued a summons to a man who was observed drinking from an open container of beer at Leonard Park.
Tuesday, Nov. 8 – 8:17 p.m. – A resident of Spencer Street reported that the front license plate of his car was missing. He was uncertain if the plate was stolen or had fallen off. He was provided with a DMV form that will enable him to replace it.
2:23 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a doctor’s office on South Bedford Road on a report that an 86-year- old woman was having difficulty breathing. She was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
