Covill Announces Latest Endorsements from Across Westchester

Momentum Builds with Law Enforcement, Healthcare, Women's Rights Groups & Sen. Harckham

A group of Westchester law enforcement, healthcare and women’s rights groups, along with NY State Senator Peter Harckham, have endorsed Democratic Westchester County Legislator Kitley Covill for re-election in District Two, confirming Covill’s experience and record of legislative accomplishment qualify her for a second term.

"I am grateful to these important groups and Sen. Harckham for their support,” says Covill. “They’ve endorsed our reelection campaign because they value a hardworking, independent legislator who knows how to deliver results for our communities”.

  • Affiliated Police Associations of Westchester: “We are proud to offer Kitley Covill our support and we will urge all of our members, family and friends to vote for her on November 5th,” says Det. Keith Olson, President.


  • Choice Matters: Who describes Covill as "one of the most able advocates for Choice in Westchester County.”
  • NY State Senator Peter Harckham: “Kitley Covill has done an outstanding job and worked closely with her colleagues to draft and pass important bills and I know she will accomplish even more in her second term.”
  • New York State Nurses Association: New York's largest union and professional association for registered nurses, representing 42,000 frontline nurses standing together for strength at work, its practice, safe staffing, and healthcare for all.
  • Westchester County Corrections Superior Officers Association: “We appreciate the work Legislator Covill has done for the county of Westchester,” says Bruce Donnelly, president. “We wish you continued success and look forward to working with you in the future.”

These latest endorsements follow previous support of Covill by the Building and Construction Trades Council of Westchester and Putnam Counties; CSEA Local 1000 AFSCME; the League of Conservation Voters; Sierra Club; Westchester County Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association and theWestchester and the Westchester County Police Benevolent Association.

Westchester County Board of Legislators District Two includes Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, North Salem, Pound Ridge and Somers in Northern Westchester.

This fall, for the first time, registered voters in Westchester County will have an additional nine days to cast their ballot, starting on October 26 and leading up to Election Day on November 5. Details are available from the Westchester County Board of Election.
