CSEA says Murphy has earned another term in State Senate
Major public employee union has announced it has endorsed State Senator Terrence Murphy. The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA)

ALBANY, NY - Another major public employee union has announced it has endorsed State Senator Terrence Murphy. The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), which represents more than 300,000 active and retirees across New York State officially added its name to an unprecedented list of union for support for the Hudson Valley Senator who handily defended his seat in 2016 winning by nearly 20 points.
State Senator Terrence Murphy said, "I'm proud to have grown up in a union household. My parents taught me about the value of hard work and dedication which members of the CSEA embody. Members of the CSEA never quit and having them on our team heading into November is a major boost to our re-election efforts. I am humbled and honored by their support."
CSEA President Danny Donohue said, "CSEA proudly endorses Senator Terrence Murphy for re-election. Since he was elected to the New York State Senate in 2014, Terrence has been a true supporter of the men and women of organized labor. Working with partners like Senator Murphy ensures a strong future for unions in our great state."
Billy Riccardo, President of the CSEA Southern Region added, "Senator Terrence Murphy is one of Albany's leading fighters for a strong middle class, and we offer him our fullest support and endorsement in his bid for re-election."
