DAR Chapters Welcome New Citizens in Naturalization Ceremony

Representatives of the Polly Cooper and Mohegan chapters recently served in their first naturalization ceremony together.

Chappaqua, New York – Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR and the Regent of the Mohegan Chapter, NSDAR were delighted to participate in the new citizen ceremony at the White Plains Court House in White Plains, NY on Thursday, June 7, 2018. The members presented flags and flag code leaflets to welcome new citizens to the United States. Naturalization ceremonies are the final step immigrants must take before becoming a US Citizen, after passing a US citizenship interview and exam.

The NSDAR is open to all women, ages 18 and older, who have a direct line to a Patriot who served in the American Revolution. Genealogists are available to help those seeking membership with their applications.
