Eatery Hosts 1st Birthday Party For Autism Service Dog Agency
Winston Restaurant in Mount Kisco helped Hudson Valley-based BluePath Service Dogs celebrate its 1st anniversary.

MOUNT KISCO, NY —BluePath Service Dogs, Inc. celebrated first birthday at Winston, the tri-level restaurant in downtown Mount Kisco. The event aimed to raise awareness of BluePath’s mission to offer people with autism safety, companionship, and opportunities for independence with expertly trained service dogs.
There are more than 3.5 million Americans living with an autism spectrum disorder. There has been an increase in diagnoses from 2000 (1 in 150) to today (1 in 68), making it the fastest growing developmental disability in the United States.
“Receiving our autism service dog transformed our lives; we have been able to participate in many activities that in the past would not have been possible,” said Emily Fontana of Rye, NY, who described her own son’s struggle with autism during a heartfelt speech to guests.
