Founded in 1994, Charis Chamber Voices is a select group of singers dedicated to prsenting vocal performances of the highest quality under the direction of internationally acclaimed conductor Arthur Sjorgren. The ensemble offers diverse programs ranging from intimate a capella madrigals to challenging contemporary chorales and show tunes. Known for its distinctive vocal blend, Charis has been cited for its "fearless approach to unfamiliar works and clear, rich sound" ( NY Times, 12/5/08), and called "the finest chorus in Westchester County" (Dennis Keene, director of Voices of Ascension).
