Janet Angier, director of Music in Chappaqua, one of Westchester’s premier music schools, is pleased to announce that jazz vocalist Claire Walsh will present an evening of jazz standards in the Tap Room at Crabtree’s Kittle House on Sunday, August 26 at 7:30 PM

Walsh is a rising junior at University of Delaware, majoring in music theory and choral music education.  She attended Somers High School where she honored as a participant in the New York State Music Association’s All State Conference.

Prior to studying jazz at Music in Chappaqua, Walsh was trained in classical music, and her voice ranges from alto to first soprano.  She has been a fan of jazz greats such as Julie London and Anita O’Day. “I wanted to experience the freedom of jazz singing,” she said.

Assaf Gleizner, a graduate of the SUNY Purchase Jazz Conservatory, will accompany Walsh.
