Fossil Fuel Foes To Hold Vigil At NY Governor's House In Mt Kisco
The organizers want Andrew Cuomo to "be a true leader" and adopt their positions.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Opponents of the Spectra pipeline and many other fossil-fuel projects underway in New York will hold a vigil outside Gov. Andrew Cuomo's home in Westchester on Sunday. The organizers want Cuomo to "be a true leader" and adopt their position.
Their priority list:
- Releasing the risk assessment of the Enbridge/Spectra AIM high-pressure transmission gas pipeline at Indian Point that Gov. Cuomo called for exactly two years ago. Why has the taxpayer funded risk assessment not been released?
- Halting all fossil fuel infrastructure projects like the dangerously polluting CPV gas power plant, Cricket Valley, Atlantic Bridge, Valley Lateral pipeline, Williams Rockaway pipeline, etc.
- Transitioning NY to 100% renewable energy by 2030
Speakers include: Rev. Claire Woodley, Canon for Ministry Support of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island; Bart Worden, Leader of the Ethical Culture Society of Westchester; Rabbi Glenn Jacobs, Executive Director of NY Interfaith Power and Light; Ola Nasseir - Founder, Our Common Beliefs, Member of Interfaith Committee of the Upper Westchester Muslim Society; Carol DeAngelo, Sister of Charity, Director of Office of Peace & Justice at College of Mt. St. Vincent and member of the MetroNY Catholic Climate Movement; Karen Killeen, The Thomas Berry Forum for Ecological Diologue at Iona College and founding member of the Companions in Charity
