Tracy Fitzpatrick, chief curator of the Neuberger Museum of Art, leads a walk-through of When Modern was Contemporary: The Roy R. Neuberger Collection.
In celebration of its 40th anniversary year, the Neuberger Museum of Art has organized When Modern Was Contemporary: The Roy R. Neuberger Collection, an exhibition of some of the finest works in the Roy R. Neuberger Collection – works by Milton Avery, Romare Bearden, Alexander Calder, Arthur Dove, Helen Frankenthaler, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, David Smith, and others.

Family Second Saturdays: Summer Send-Off Festival
Say Hello to summer while exploring animation in the style of South African artist Robin Rhode. You’ll find ways to interact with your own art through tours and art-making workshops, a shadow puppet show, and other performances. The entire family is welcome!South African artist Robin Rhode has been named recipient of the 2014 Roy R. Neuberger Exhibition Prize, a biannual prize, which celebrates an exceptional artist with an early-career survey and catalogue. The artist’s exhibition, Robin Rhode: Animating the Everyday, a ten-year survey of his digital videos (the first museum survey of his animations), will be presented at the Neuberger Museum from May 4 through August 10, 2014.
