When you look good you feel good. It’s that simple. Training kickboxing for fitness will get the results you desire while at the same time providing you with a proven self defense. Right there you cover the four states of a human being. They are mind, body, heart & soul. I’ll go into detail to explain in case you are a bit confused.

First the mind. Your mind tells you what to do. That means that you must first identify the problem. In our case here the problem is that we are not in the shape we need to be in and don’t look and feel the way we want. This can cause a number of problems. Physically we are putting our health at risk. Being out of shape makes all of our organs work harder and puts a strain on out joints and muscles. Plus It leads us towards depression. We have no energy which leads to no motivation. It’s the beginning of a dangerous path that only gets worse. When we are in shape we look and feel great. We have tons of energy to get out and enjoy life. Plus it give us a sense of self confidence that leads to us feeling like we can accomplish anything.

Next we come to the body. Your body needs to know how to do something. This part can be one of the most intimidating parts of starting a fitness regimen. You don’t know how yet. That’s why my classes are so great. Everyone starts from the beginning. I will be here with you step by step making sure that you absorb all the information. Once you understand the basics you will be chomping at the bit to learn more. Your reaction time will get quicker and quicker. It’s so addictive. The desire to learn more and more is unstoppable. This will make it seem less like exercise and more like learning. I can’t imagine walking or running on a treadmill for a minute none the less an hour. I’d lose my mind.

The third and maybe most important state of a human is his emotions. Gone unchecked emotions can destroy us. We can allow fear to hold us back. We can allow anger to control our thoughts. If we learn to control our emotions they can become our biggest strengths. We can turn any negative emotion to turn into fuel. That fuel ignites our fire. That fire burns inside us and gives us the strength we need to push on. After a while our fear is now our motivation. When I’m afraid of something I want to meet it head on and conquer it. That makes me stronger. If I’m angry I train. After a few rounds the anger turns into exhaustion. My mind clears and what made me angry fades and I see things through a different set of glasses. Instead of being impulsive or reactive I’m able to dissect the issue and find a solution.

So we have covered the first three. The fourth and final state is our spirit. The spirit tells you that you are supposed to do what you are doing. Of course you are supposed to train. The human body was not made to sit around all day and watch TV. It was made to hunt, gather and work. The more I do, the more I accomplish the better I feel. I feel like I have purpose, like I matter. I can’t even imagine not doing anything. I train everyday. If I miss a day I feel like a failure.
