Grand Jury Indictment For Exec Accused Of Embezzling $340K

The former Controller at CR Wallauer & Company in North Castle was indicted for stealing from the company between 2017 and 2019.

NORTH CASTLE, NY — A Westchester County grand jury has handed down an indictment against a former executive at a fourth-generation family-owned, North Castle-based paint and hardware firm for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Toni Ann Rosado, the former Controller of CR Wallauer & Company in North Castle, was indicted for stealing more than $340,000 from the company between 2017 and 2019, Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah announced Wednesday.

The 51-year-old Orlando, Florida resident was indicted for grand larceny in the Second Degree and Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, both felonies. Rosado was arraigned in Westchester County Court on June 23.

U.S. Marshals arrested Rosado on June 6, in Orlando, with assistance from the Fugitive Unit of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety’s Warrant Fugitive Unit.

The investigation was conducted by the Economic Crimes Bureau of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Rosado is scheduled to appear again in court on July 8.
