Greeley Avenue, King Street Area Reopens After Gas Leak

UPDATE: A gas leak in the center of the hamlet of Chappaqua has been located and contained, New Castle police said at 12:48 p.m. Most of the area has been reopened. However, one lane of South Greeley Avenue will remain closed.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — The center of downtown Chappaqua is the center of an investigation by Con Ed and New Castle police.

The area of Greeley Avenue and King Street was closed after 11:30 a.m. due to an odor of gas, New Castle police said.
