Harckham/OASAS Holding Free Public Naloxone Training May 23
Lifesaving Training to Reverse an Opioid Overdose Will Be Held at Arms Acres in Carmel

Senator Pete Harckham, 40th Senate District, Chair of the Senate Committee on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, and the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) are offering a FREE public Naloxone training, to anyone interested, on Thursday, May 23, at 6pm in Carmel, NY. The event will be held at Arms Acres, 75 Seminary Hill Road, Carmel, NY 10512.
Naloxone is a lifesaving medication that can be administered in the event of an opioid overdose. Attendees will be trained on the signs of opioid overdose, the proper administration of Naloxone and will be provided with Narcan.
Event sponsors include The Prevention Council of Putnam, Drug Crisis in Our Backyard, The Putnam Coalition and Arms Acres.
