Home Invasion In New Castle

The area around the residence was thoroughly searched by police to no avail.

NEW CASTLE, NY — Residents at a house on Pond Hill Road told police Tuesday that a strange woman had just entered the house, brandished what looked like a gun, and robbed them. Police were called at 12:45 p.m.

The area around the residence was thoroughly searched to no avail by police from New Castle and Mount Pleasant with assistance from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.

"We have no reason to believe the suspect is still in the area or a threat to our residents," police said in a press release.
