UPDATE: I-684 Lane Reopened Southbound

UPDATE: 6PM: The state DOT reports all lanes are open on I-684.

UPDATE, 4PM: Delays exist on I-684 southbound; one lane is still closed.

UPDATE, 12:30PM: State transportation officials report a lane closure for up to four hours.

State transportation officials said southbound I-684 was closed at Exit 3 -- State Hwy 22 in New Castle --  due to an accident.

They estimated the length of time to be two hours.
