
Here are some of the recent incidents to which Westchester County police responded in Mount Kisco:
Friday, Feb. 26 – 10 a.m. – A Mount Kisco resident came to the Westchester County Police precinct on Green Street to report that he has been the victim of identity theft. The resident recently received a notice from a collection agency as a result of an unpaid bill at a hospital in Tennessee. The resident said he was never a patient at the Tennessee hospital. Detectives have opened an investigation.
Thursday, Feb. 25 10:44 a.m. – A village resident came to the Westchester County Police precinct on Green Street to report that she was the victim of attempted credit card fraud. The woman’s wallet was lost recently and someone tried to use one of the cards to purchase shoes online. The transaction was denied because the woman had promptly canceled her credit cards. An investigation into the fraud attempt is continuing.

10:19 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a residence on South Bedford Road to assist a woman who was having difficulty breathing. The woman was subsequently transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
6:55 a.m. – Westchester County Police and the Mount Kisco Fire Department responded to Sarles Street after electrical wires fell down and were blocking the road. The street was closed until the condition was corrected by utility crews.

Wednesday, Feb. 24 – 11:30 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to TJ Maxx due to an activated burglar alarm. The alarm was set off in error by workers who were doing a remodeling project after the store had closed.
1:35 p.m. – A 55-year-old Mahopac woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries when she was struck by a car as she crossed East Main Street in front of the TD Bank branch. She was treated at the scene by members of the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps and transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
Tuesday, Feb. 23 – 8:33 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Northern Westchester Hospital Center on a report that a patient in the Behavioral Health Center was being combative with hospital staff. Officers were able to calm the man and he agreed to comply with the directions of hospital staff.
Monday, Feb. 22 – 3:57 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Diplomat Drive to assist an elderly man who had taken a fall. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and determined that the man did not need to be taken to the hospital.
10:12 a.m. – A village resident reported that she was bitten by a dog as she walked on Croton Avenue. The dog believed responsible was located and the county Health Department was notified. An investigation is continuing.
Sunday, Feb. 21 – 7:30 p.m. – Brian Placona, 25, of West Hyatt Avenue was charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor, after he surrendered to Westchester County Police at the Mount Kisco precinct. Placona is accused of sending text messages to a person he is barred from contacting under a Westchester County Family Court order. He was arraigned before village Justice John Donohue and released on his own recognizance.
