Katonah Civil Air Patrol squadron plans open house for teens and adults

Katonah, NY - The Col. Johnnie Pantanelli Composite Squadron, local unit NY238 of the Civil Air Patrol, is hosting an open house on Wednesday, September 28th, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the Katonah Memorial House: 71 Bedford Road, Katonah NY. The entire community is welcome to attend and learn more about CAP.
Members of the squadron will be present to greet visitors and explain CAP’s missions for America. CAP was established Dec.1, 1941, and is a volunteer auxiliary of the United States Air Force. The Col. Johnnie Pantanelli Composite Squadron is seeking to recruit new members for their Cadet and Senior programs. If you’re 12-18 years old and looking for a new challenge, please join us for an informative introduction to Civil Air Patrol. Learn about the incredible opportunities CAP has to offer, including orientation flights, leadership development, summer activities, scholarships, aerospace education, community and emergency services, and more. We will explain all of the benefits of belonging to one of America’s finest youth programs. Adults 21 and older will also learn about the senior program and ways that CAP serves the community.
Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a volunteer organization with 55,000 members nationwide. The members play a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to thousands of young people currently participating in CAP cadet programs.
