Local DAR Chapter Participates in 2018 New Castle Community Day
Members of the Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR discussed service projects and the DAR application process with local community members

Chappaqua, New York – The Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR participated in the 2018 New Castle Community Day on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Current chapter members, including volunteer genealogists, greeted local community members while discussing the chapter’s current service projects, as well as the application process to join DAR.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support better education for our nation’s children. Its members descend from patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War. With 178,000 members in approximately 3,000 chapters worldwide, DAR is one of the world’s largest and most active service organizations.
