Man Discovered Unconscious In Laundromat Later Dies At Hospital

The Westchester County coroner will determine the cause of death. Police said there is no immediate evidence of foul play.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — The Westchester County Police Department is investigating a death at a Main Street laundromat.

At 9:26 p.m. on Tuesday, officers in Mount Kisco were requested to make a welfare check on a man who was found unconscious in a rear room of a laundromat on Main Street. Officers found the man was non-responsive and immediately began CPR.

Westchester EMS responded and took over CPR and other lifesaving efforts. The man was taken by Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Northern Westchester Hospital.

He was pronounced dead at 10:23 p.m.

Medical personnel reported that there were no signs of trauma to the man's body. A review by detectives of several hours of video from the laundromat shows no evidence of an assault or altercation among the parties present at the time, Westchester County police said.

The Westchester Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. At this time, there is no physical or video evidence to indicate foul play, investigators said.

Police said the victim's identity will be withheld pending notification of family.
