In an article published this week in the Examiner concerning the write-in campaign of myself and my running mate Don Holohan, the Mayor was asked to comment; I think his comment was telling. "I'm a competitive person," Cindrich said. "My record speaks for itself." It certainly does, inaction, fiscal chaos, business loss, real estate mogul by the Village becoming a larger and larger landowner and a determination to disband the Mount Kisco Police Department. It is unusual for the Mayor, a former policeman himself, to want to let the County take over the duties of our police in Mount Kisco, where it has been tried in many other towns and rejected. I think he believes that the Village will save money by pawning off the responsibility of paying our police officers a decent wage, health benefits and retirement monies, when he himself collects a decent pension from Mamaroneck, where he spent decades as a police officer protecting that community. The Mayor is not a bad person, just a bad Mayor. He has spent several years at the helm of this Village and each year we lose more and more businesses; a plan to raise parking fines by 100%; spending over half a million dollars on buying land the Village does not need; spending $55,000.00 on "blue" tennis court floors - but no - not enough for our police department. Well, I think it is time for the residents of Mount Kisco to bid a fond farewell to the Mayor and his Deputy George Griffin. Stagnation and depression is not needed by Mount Kisco, but a new, fresh and younger look forward to a rising star for all residents of this great Village. On November 5th, please write in my name, Patric Kilkenny on the write-in line, at the bottom of the ballot under J.M. Cindrich and Don Holohan the same, under G. Griffin.
