MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the recent incidents to which Westchester County police responded in the village.
Friday, Feb. 22 – 11:02 a.m. – A resident of Amuso Drive reported that the windshield of her
car was damaged while the vehicle was parked at the complex.
4:22 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to an auto dealership on Kisco Avenue on an activated burglar alarm. It was determined that an employee who arrived early to accept a delivery had set off the system in error.

Thursday, Feb. 21 – 6:59 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Carpenter Avenue after being notified that a medical alert bracelet had been activated in a residence there. After officers knocked on the door and no one responded, they made entry and found a woman in her 90s lying on the floor of a bedroom. Officers assisted her into a chair and had EMS personnel respond. The woman reported that she was not injured and declined additional medical attention.
12:55 p.m. – Uzzol Islam, 40, of Hunter Avenue, Yonkers, was charged with Assault 1 st Degree, a felony, after he attacked another man on Main Street the previous day. Westchester County Police responded to the 200 block of Main Street at 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 20 on a report that a man struck an acquaintance in the head during an argument. The victim was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for treatment. Islam, who left the scene, surrendered himself Feb. 21 to detectives at county police headquarters in Hawthorne. He was arraigned later that night in Mount Kisco Justice Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.

Wednesday, Feb. 20 – 6:49 p.m. – A village resident reported that she gave personal information to a caller who claimed to be from a financial institution. After becoming suspicious that the call was not legitimate, she hung up and contacted County Police. The woman asked officers to prepare a report documenting the incident because she fears she might become a victim of identity theft.
1:25 a.m. – Brian Morrarty, 37, of New Milford, Conn., was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop on the Saw Mill River Parkway near Route 133. He was booked at county police headquarters in Hawthorne and released pending a March 7 court appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.
Tuesday, Feb. 19 – 2:24: p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to the Mount Kisco Diner on Main Street on a report that a medical alert bracelet had been activated there. Officers located a woman who said that she had activated it in error and that there was no emergency.
1:47 p.m. – A motorist reported that his car was damaged by a hit-and-run driver while parked on North Moger Avenue.
8:49 a.m. – A resident contacted Westchester County Police to report that his handicapped parking placard had fallen into a storm drain and could not be retrieved. He was provided with information on how to obtain a replacement.
8:45 a.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Turner Lane on a report of an activated burglar alarm there. A resident reported that the alarm had been triggered accidentally.
Monday, Feb. 18 – 6:40 p.m. – A Woodland Street resident reported that she received a suspicious phone call from a person who told her she needed to go to a local store and transfer money to an account she did not recognize. She hung up on the caller and contacted Westchester County Police.
10:43 a.m. – A village resident reported that a fraudulent loan application was filed in her name. An investigation is continuing.
Saturday, Feb. 16 – 9:34 a.m. – Westchester County Police arrested a Bedford Hills man after he was found to be operating a vehicle without a court-mandated Interlock device as well as possessing a fraudulent driver’s license. Byron Monroy-Martinez, 31, of Rome Avenue was pulled over by an officer for failing to stop at a stop sign at Parkview Place and Route 133. He produced a Maryland driver’s license that was subsequently determined to be fraudulent. In addition, it was determined that the vehicle he was driving did not have an ignition interlock device, which he is required by court order to have in any vehicle he uses. Monroy-Martinez was booked at the county police precinct on Green Street and charged with Forgery 2 nd Degree, a felony, and Using a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device, a misdemeanor. He also was issued summonses for driving without a license and failure to stop at a stop sign. He was arraigned in Mount Kisco Justice Court and released on $100 bail pending a future court appearance.
