Millwood Fire Election: Absentee Ballot Deadline Looms
Get the application in by Dec. 5 and then get the ballot back pronto — the vote is Dec. 12.

MILLWOOD, NY — There's one person running for the open seat on the Millwood Board of Fire Commissioners. But that's no reason not to vote in the Dec. 12 election.
Voting is from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 12 at Station No. 1, 100 Millwood Road in New Castle.
Voters will be electing one fire commissioner to a 5-year term commencing Jan. 1, 2018. TOn the ballot Jason Lichtenthal.

To vote in this election you must be a resident of the fire district for at least 30 days prior to election and have already registered to vote with the Westchester Board of Elections.
Absentee ballots are available for this election. You can vote by absentee ballot for one of the following four reasons:

- You are a patient in a hospital, or will be confined at home and unable to appear because of illness or disability
- You will be absent from the county because of my duties, studies, occupation, or business
- You will be on vacation outside of the county
- You will be confined waiting action by a grand jury or confined pending trial in a criminal proceeding or confined for conviction of a crime or offense other than a felony
If you want to request an absentee ballot, please print, neatly fill out, sign, and mail the absentee ballot application. Get it here online. The absentee ballot application must be received by mail by the Millwood Fire District Secretary by Tuesday, Dec. 5.
