Mount Kisco Police Blotter: Attempted Scam; Mop-Handle Assault

Thursday, July 23 – 3:01 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Richmond Community Services on North Bedford Road on a report that a person was having a seizure. A 33-year-old was subsequently transported by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.

11:06 a.m. – A Mount Kisco resident reported that he had received a telephone call from a man claiming he worked for the IRS and needed to verify the man’s personal information. The resident refused to provide any information and contacted police to report the attempted scam.

Wednesday, July 22 – 2:18 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a store on North Bedford Road after receiving a call that a dog had been left locked inside a hot car. The vehicle owner had returned to the car upon the officer’s arrival and said she had gone inside a store only briefly. The dog owner was advised that temperatures can soar inside a car very quickly on hot days.

Monday, July 20 – 11:04 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a residence on Grove Street on a report that a woman was having difficulty breathing. Oxygen was administered to a 79-year-old resident and she was transported by the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.

6:33 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Byram Lake on a report that a red pickup truck was being driven recklessly in the area. The vehicle was gone upon an officer’s arrival.

2:30 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to an office on Lexington Avenue on an activated burglar alarm. It was determined that an employee had set the alarm off in error.

Sunday, July 19 –10:12 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Brookside Avenue on a report that a man was lying in the road. An intoxicated man was found there and he was taken by ambulance to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.

2:31 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Oak Ridge Road on a complaint about an illegally parked vehicle. A summons was issued.

Friday, July 17 –10 p.m. – Montei McGruder, 25, of Amuso Drive was charged with Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor, after he allegedly entered another person’s home and harassed a resident there in a dispute over money. She was released pending a July 30 court appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

6:14 p.m. – Leandra Pugh, 32, of Amuso Drive was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, a felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor, after she allegedly struck a 15-year-old with a mop handle during a dispute at her home.
