New Castle Democrats Seek Candidate To Fill Town Board Vacancy
It's an interim position for the year remaining in Ivy Pool's term as a board member. She was elected supervisor in November.

The New Castle Democratic Committee is interviewing candidates for the November 2020 election to serve the one-year remaining term of the Town Board seat being vacated by Ivy Pool.
Pool won the election for town supervisor in November. She will be sworn in Jan. 1.

There will be an election in November to fill out the remainder of Pool's term. With a majority on the town board, Democrats get to pick the interim board member.
“We have been contacted by several potential candidates with whom we are talking,” said Nominations & Candidate Development Committee Chair Jane Silverman, “ but we always are looking for new people to get involved and bring new strengths to our Town government.”
