New Castle Resident Faces Drug Charge

A New Castle resident was accused of cocaine possession after a traffic stop on the Taconic Parkway.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — A New Castle resident was accused of cocaine possession after a traffic stop on the Taconic Parkway. New York State Police said they stopped a 2014 Dodge Charger at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 26 on the Taconic for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.

After interviewing the driver, troopers investigated further. They allege that Jennifer A. Lamp, a passenger in the car, possessed about 1.2 grams of cocaine.

The 40-year-old was charged with Criminal Possession of Cocaine in the 5th degree, a class D felony. She was arraigned before the New Castle Court, and sent to the Westchester County jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 bail bond.
