New York Baby Killed by Family Dog

An Central New York 11-month-old died after he was attacked by the family dog while his mom’s back was turned, according to cnycentral.com.

The news site reported that the children were playing in the living room of their home in Oneida County Nov. 15 when the mother heard them screaming. She turned to see the dog, a pit bull, had the boy in his jaws.

The family said the dog, named Diesel, had not been aggressive before; police said it would be euthanized.
