'Oh, Everybody Loves A Parade,' Annual Mount Kisco FD Parade Primed

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Anticipation is building for this year's parade, and The Mount Kisco Fire Department is hot to trot and ready to roll.

On Friday, July 8, the Village of Mount Kisco will be holding its annual Fire Department Parade downtown, from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The parade will kick off at Main St. and Moore Ave., continue north on Main Street, make a left on S. Moger, and then end at Green St.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive before 6 p.m. in order to avoid delays.

Mount Kisco announced the following road closures and parking restrictions:

Road Closures (6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.):

1. Main St. from Northern Westchester Hospital, past Jeff Feigel Square up to the Maple Ave./Kisco Ave. intersection.
2. S. Moger Ave. from Main St. to the Lexington Ave./Lieto Dr. intersection.
3. Moore Ave., Smith Ave., Gregory Ave., Hyatt Ave., Dakin Ave. and Green St. closed to thru traffic.

Municipal Parking: The North and South Moger lots will be accessible via W. Main St. coming from the West only. All vehicles will be stopped at the intersection of W. Main Street & Maple Ave./Kisco Ave. Only cars intending to park in the either the North or South Moger lots will be permitted to go through the intersection. All cars that park in either of the Moger lots who wish to exit before 8:30 p.m. must do so via the south end of the South Moger lot, taking Britton Ln. to Stewart Pl. to Gatto Dr. & traveling south on Lexington Ave. only.

Blackeby: all interior spaces will be closed starting at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, July 7. All exterior spaces will be closed starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 8. The lot is expected to be re-opened by the start of business on Saturday, July 9.

Main St. & Shoppers Park Visitors: The Village Hall employee parking lot is available after 4:30 p.m. on Friday for those wishing to visit the businesses on Main St. During the parade, from approximately 6:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., the only way in and out of the Shoppers Park and Village Hall area will be at the intersection of Main St. and N. Bedford Rd. Entry and exit times during the parade may encounter very significant delays. Visitors not wishing to risk these delays are encouraged to park in the S. Moger lot and walk to Main St.
