Over 100 Run in New Castle's 10K

Rain could not stop the Town of New Castle's 26th annual 10K road race, which was held Sunday morning in downtown Chappaqua and with a course that went through several nearby roads.

In total 132 people were reported for the race, with people ranging from teenagers to middle aged.

Finishing first overall was Glen Carnes, 45, from Chappaqua at 37:49. He also finished first in the male category. The first-place female finisher was Daphne Tsoucas, a 20-year-old from the Mount Kisco area.

The race had multiple sponsors, including New Castle Physical Therapy & Personal Training, which is based in Millwood.
