Overnight Taconic Roadwork Will Begin After The Evening Commute
Lane reductions will be in place tonight until just before the start of the morning rush hour, according to the NYSDOT.

NEW CASTLE, NY — Driving a stretch of the Taconic in Northern Westchester will be just a little more challenging than usual tonight, according to the NYSDOT.
The New York State Department of Transportation said the Taconic State Parkway will be reduced to one lane southbound, between Exit 8 (State Routes 100/133) in the Town of New Castle and Exit 6 (Pleasantville Road) in the Town of Mount Pleasant, on Thursday, April 9, beginning at 9 p.m., through 5 a.m. the following morning. The construction zone will allow for bridge work, weather permitting.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
