Paving Lower King Street Planned For Friday In Chappaqua
Work continues apace on the $11.6 million renovation and streetscape project.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — With the the largest and most critical sewer manhole installed — near the Starbucks — the new sewer lines have been installed on lower King Street. Paving lower King is planned for Friday, weather permitting.
Continuation of the new sewer main will then continue on South Greeley from King (Starbucks) to Woodburn (Pizza Station).
Town Supervisor Rob Greenstein said although the new sewer lines are following the engineering design which was approved by the Westchester County Board of Health, construction was temporarily stopped on lower King to make sure the connection to the County trunk line was correct. While that was on hold, work was done on the storm water system behind Pizza Station. Then all parking spots were restored.

"When we pave lower King, we will patch Greeley," Greenstein said. "The street sweeper is supposed to come on Friday morning."
He urged residents to keep checking the Town of New Castle website for all updates.
